I recently tried out Starflight 2 on my Tungsten C. After setting up a 1 man human crew, I flew over to the Eshvey world. I guess the Tandalouvian gods were not smiling on me, as I ended up landing next to a hot fungus. It prematurely ended my exploring career. At least I didn't have to listen to that religious bunk of the Tandalou in orbit, since I could not understand them.

I'm making a novel out of it. Give me eight months. Fine bookstores everywhere.

Does anyone know if a dosbox for iphone is in the works anywhere? That would be cool too. Yes there is. http://vogons.zetafleet.com/viewtopic.php?t=23435&sid=9962b69abed8c349eaf836586485e57a I tested the game saves (in game and emulator) and they work. The emulator game save is quicker but there are only two slots available. I landed on the first and third planets in the Arth system. Collected minerals and returned to starport. The landing and launch sequence are rather slow. I guess I'll need to run some tests in the regular UAE to see if Starflight is normally this slow or it's just slow from running in an emulated environment on the Tungsten C. The rest of the game runs at an acceptable speed. |

I came across a Tungsten C Palm Pilot at a local Goodwill store recently. So I went ahead and bought it. I put MyUAE 0.91 on it along with the Amiga Starflight's 1 and 2. The game takes awhile to load up but is playable once it does. The mouse interface works but takes a little getting used to. So far I have named my ship and created a human crew member. To name the ship and crew members you have to use the emulator's popup keyboard. The Tungsten keyboard will not work. The popup keyboard is a bit of a pain to use as it is a bit sensitive and you end up with multiple key presses on one tap on the screen. It would probably be a good idea to align the screens digitizer before starting as I found the popup keyboard to be off a bit. I saved the game with both the in game save function as well as the emulators save function. I have not yet tested either game save yet to see if they work.
